Tape a piece of paper to a hard, flat surface — make sure it doesn’t slip. 2. Stand on the paper with feet shoulder-width apart, weight evenly balanced. 3. Have someone mark the tip of your big toe and the outermost part of your heel with a pen pointed straight down. 4. Step off and measure the distance between the two marks with a ruler or tape measure. 5. Repeat with the other foot — it’s common for one foot to be slightly longer. 6.
